Decent patterns, some assembly

I got a custom jumpsuit pattern and it fit pretty well. The measurements I put in translated to a good pattern, which was nice. Downloading was instant. My only complaint is printing and taping together so many pages. It took a while to get it all laid out, especially for a larger garment like a jumpsuit. Maybe they could offer a print shop option for a bit more, just to save the hassle. But for the price and the fit, it's a good deal.

Got my jacket pattern!

Nah, it's not too bad. Mostly just cutting and gluing. I used hot glue for mine, worked fine. Just takes a bit of time.

They can be, depending on the pattern. The custom fit helps a lot because you don't have to do as many adjustments. But some of the designs are still complex. Maybe start with a simple skirt or top.

They're different. Simplicity/McCall's are standard sizes you adjust. Bootstrap is custom to *your* measurements, so the fit is usually way better right off the bat. Instructions can be similar.

The custom fit is the main draw compared to the big 4. It saves so much time not having to grade patterns. The actual sewing instructions are pretty good, but the fit is where they shine over a commercial pattern.
